2025 Resolutions

2024 was a weird year, to say the least.

I spent the first half of the year being dedicated to my work and my life in the Netherlands, but it was not a rewarding decision.

Various things caused me to have a burnout around summer, and the global geopolitical events did not help lower my underlying stress to a “peaceful” level, even with some newly-acquired external assistance.

Reflecting on the resolutions I set in 2024, I realized that some of them were too “dreamy”.

However, I now have more than 4 years of resolutions (in this blog and other notes), so I feel more confident going forward with what I can make work & what I can achieve to make a version of myself that is happier and better in the ways that I want to be today.

The themes for 2025 are going to be wellbeing and meaning.

With these, I aim to continue on my journey of de-stressing, being calm and also being fit. I also aim to actively enjoy life, and to find meaning; reasons to live, to wake up every day, to get out of bed, to do something, to experience something.

1. Wellbeing

Do weight lifting 3 times per week for 20 minutes.

Walk, run and/or cycle at least 3 times per week.

Meditate daily around noon.

Take 2 15-minute breaks every working day.

Do not talk about work after 7pm.

2. Meaning

Go into nature at least once every 2 months.

Get married.

Read at least 10 books that make me happy and/or wiser.

Pick up a hobby and dedicate time to it.

Give meaningful gifts to at least 6 different people.

Maintain strong relationships with friends and family.
