It’s not your fault your childhood was short your parents thought could not afford

It’s not your fault you did not learn your parents education did spurn

It’s not your fault you wanted to dream you wanted to become part of a team

It’s not your fault luck was not at your side and fate wanted to divide

It’s not your fault your brain is always already tired it was just never properly wired

It’s not your fault your body is so weak you never had to have a good physique

It’s not your fault it’s not your fault but we all share a default

It’s our responsibility to aspire to think and grow instead of shrink

It’s our responsibility to love oneself and not gather dust on a shelf

It’s our responsibility to cater for those we love and their burdens to shave off

It’s our responsibility to prepare for death ourselves and to whomever we gave breath

It’s our responsibility to not shy away from all this the past yes but our future not to dismiss
