Summer 2020 Books - Part 1

I have got a few books for my summer vacations, which have been extended since the company went insolvent.

Siddhartha

Interesting read. I felt connected to the protagonist multiple times, although there were also times in the story that I thought some of his decisions were wrong, and I will/would not fall into the same traps.

I enjoyed reading about a well-written journey to enlightenment.

There are some good life lessons to be learned here.

Enhiridion

I expected more from this. The book is small, the phrases are few and did not seem to contain deep wisdom.

The old man and the sea

A masterpiece. I could hardly put it down, I read it in two parts, which is enough, since this is a short story.

The descriptions are vivid and captivating.

The backstory is intriguing and allows the reader to fantasize about it.

The actual story keeps you wondering what will happen next.

I would recommend this to anyone.

Those were the short ones I got. I am currently halfway through The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy books, and I have others in the queue :)
