Exams are over
Exams are finally over and I now have a lot of time to work on the raspberry, on this website and other stuff I want to get into.
A couple of months back I switched from apache to nginx with great success, and I must admit it was quite easy. Did not see big differences in loading times, but after some modifications on the conf files it was pretty obvious that nginx is far lighter than apache.
I kept nginx to fully understand how it works -server blocks and all that- but I soon found out that there is a free academic service which provides online vms with a lot of storage.
I decided to check it out and it seemed pretty sweet. I took half a day from studying and quickly moved my website on “okeanos”.
Loading is a lot faster now, and wordpress is giving me no headaches anymore.
Over the summer, I am planning to learn about websites’ security and find a new project for the raspberry.
